Training of Trainers, Tskhneti, Georgia

Twelve youth workers from the partner organisations participated in the Training of Trainers held by experienced trainers on the topic of Conflict Management. The participants had been trained in conflict management and gained new knowledge about different methods that can be used for working on conflict transformation and resolution. Training Course, Poronin, Poland
July 1st – 8th 2007
The first multiplying Training Course on Conflict Management took place in Poland in the first week July. Maksymilian Fras, from Minorities of Europe (MoE), United Kingdom, and Lilit Simonyan from Stepanavan Youth Centre (SYC), Armenia, let the participants reflect and work on the issues of conflict and conflict resolution. Training Course, Kobuleti, Georgia
July 24th – 31st 2007
The second multiplying Training Course on Conflict Management was successfully completed. It was held by Shahin Bayramov from AYAFE, Azerbaijan, and Sebastian Schweitzer from Mostar Friedensprojekt, Germany. Eighteen participants from different countries took part very actively in the Training Course. Topics as conflict sources, escalation, effective communication, cooperation or conflict resolution have been discussed. The interactive methods used during the sessions brought the group into very animated and constructive discussions. Contact Making Seminar, Kobuleti, Georgia
November 19th – 24th, 2007
This seminar was completed with success and involved about 30 youth workers. The participants developed during these working days some projects concerning youth with as main theme conflict management and peace-building. The report of this CMS will be uploaded soon.
Contact Making Seminar, Potsdam, Germany
December 14th – 19th, 2007
This Contact Making Seminar gathered youth workers from all over Europe. The participants, thanks to interactive and non-formal working methods, got the chance to share their experience, ideas and views as well as the activities of their own organisations. During the seminar they created different projects which will hopefully be implemented in the following months. Download the report here.
From the outcomes of these two CMSs, three Youth Exchanges will be chosen before February 2008 for implementation into the frame of the Large Scale Project "For a Future to Come – International Youth Work on Conflict Management".
